Riyadh begins enforcing land fencing fines for non-compliance

The Riyadh Region Secretariat announced today that it will begin imposing fines on those who fail to fence off their vacant lots located within the scope of the first phase of the initiative aimed at improving the urban landscape, effective today, Saturday, October 1.

The Secretariat added that the roads targeted by the initiative include:

– Imam Abdullah bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Road, from the Eastern Ring Road intersection to the Janadriyah Road intersection

– King Abdullah Road from the intersection with King Khalid Road to the intersection with Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Road

– Al-Diwan Road from the intersection with Makkah Al-Mukarramah Road to the intersection with Wadi Hanifa Street

– King Saud Road from Makkah Road to the intersection with King Khalid Road

– The Southern Ring Road from the intersection with Hamza bin Abdul-Muttalib Road to the Second Ring Road exit.

The Municipality clarified via its official Twitter account that the fine for failing to install fencing is 100 riyals per linear meter, and will be repeated if the violation continues.
