With the presence of 50 national companies from the food sector, the Saudi Exports Development Authority “Saudi Exports” participated under the identity of “Saudi Industry” in SIAL 2022 exhibition in Paris, which was held during the period from 15 to 19 October 2022, and the Authority reviews through the pavilion various Saudi food products and tells their quality.
The participation of “Saudi Exports” in the exhibition comes within its main role in upgrading the mental image and brand of the Kingdom's exports, enhancing its position in regional and global markets, identifying international business opportunities, connecting exporters with potential buyers, promoting national products and services in major trade platforms that bring together investors and those interested in several fields, especially food, in a way that contributes to increasing market shares in international markets, to raise the contribution of the private sector to the GDP to 65%, and raise the proportion of non-oil exports to about 50% of the total gross domestic product (GDP). The exhibition also focuses on various sectors and activities such as animal production, aquaculture, event catering, beverage catering, permanent and non-permanent crop cultivation, fishing, meat processing and preservation, among others, and highlights the main challenges facing the global food industry and its exports. SIAL is one of the largest specialized exhibitions in the food industry, with about 21 sections and more than 7,000 exhibitors from more than 119 countries in the world, and is expected to reach more than 160,000 visitors.
