Developing the residential environment around tourist and heritage attractions is part of achieving the objectives of sustainable comprehensive development within the framework of urban development in AlUla Governorate, with the aim of developing an ideal destination for living and working, and providing the requirements of life in a model neighborhood characterized by its urban style and integrated services.

700 plots of land in the model neighborhood

The new neighborhood in AlUla includes more than 700 plots of land, ranging from residential to commercial, with an area of more than 260,000 square meters, and its design takes into account the surrounding natural and cultural environment, according to an integrated community lifestyle, by controlling the available spaces between buildings, providing pedestrian walkways, creating public spaces, and increasing the area of green spaces that will form a group of interconnected sites.

With this practical step, the Royal Commission for AlUla has made significant strides in achieving its strategic objectives under the “AlUla Vision” in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, promoting sustainable comprehensive development in a unique cultural and natural environment in the northwest of the Kingdom, and transforming it into a leading global destination for arts, heritage and culture, and a better place to live and work.

Reception of building permit applications begins

<Last week, applications for building permits for the third phase of the sustainable urban development plan in the Sadr neighborhood, as well as the Al Mahash neighborhood, began last week, aided by the introduction of architectural models and designs inspired by the traditional architecture of AlUla. AlUla Design Studio offers a range of new community services that play a key role in the urban development plan, providing architectural design models that allow residents to choose the most appropriate ones to build their properties in line with AlUla's history and heritage, and highlighting them with a unique aesthetic level.
