The General Authority for Transport has announced that the incentive program for businesses and individuals engaged in freight transport, freight forwarding, and truck leasing on the Kingdom’s road network will end in 30 days, specifically on December 7, 2022 – corresponding to 13 Jumada Al-Awwal 1444 AH.

The Authority confirmed that this initiative targets individuals and entities wishing to obtain a license for road freight transport who own vehicles with a gross weight exceeding 3,500 kg, exceed the system-permitted limit of 9 trucks, and hold valid special transport permits.

The Authority stated that during the current initiative period, which will end on December 7, 2022, establishments and individuals can benefit from services and exemptions from fees for issuing operating licenses, and license plate issuance when completing the procedures to convert from private to public transport, as well as the ability to complete these services without requiring payment of transport-related fines, in order to support and incentivize all entities and individuals engaged in freight transport.
