Riyadh is hosting the Travel and Tourism Summit today

Kicks off today in Riyadh World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Summit (WTTC) kicks off today in Riyadh and runs through December 1. In its 22nd session, the summit will discuss ways in which the travel and tourism sector can contribute to economic development and sustainability, as well as to the creation of new job opportunities that contribute to the development of communities.

The summit, held under the theme “Travel for a Better Future,” with significant participation from a select group of the world’s leading tourism experts from both the public and private sectors. They will discuss the development and growth of the travel and tourism sector, explore attractions that meet tourists“ needs and expectations, strike a balance between sustainability and growth, foster innovation, and focus on key destinations that embrace sustainability through projects powered by renewable energy, such as the NEOM and Red Sea projects.

On this occasion, His Excellency the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khatib, said: "This summit comes at a crucial and vital time for the global travel and tourism sector; therefore, what we will discuss here in Riyadh will have a significant impact on the global travel and tourism sector, for a better future for all.”
