«Industry» conducts 1,041 field visits to industrial facilities last month

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, represented by the General Directorate of Comprehensive Industrial Service Centers and the Compliance Directorate “1,041” field visits to industrial facilities in a number of regions across the Kingdom during the month of January; this was part of the Ministry’s periodic tours to monitor factories, assess their readiness, and ensure their compliance with quality standards and necessary requirements.

The Ministry clarified that the field visits conducted last month included 313 visits to factories in the Riyadh region, 293 visits in the Makkah region, and 207 in the Eastern Province, while 83 visits were conducted at factories in the Al-Qassim region, in addition to 46 visits in the Asir region, 34 visits to factories in the Madinah region, 23 visits to factories in the Jazan region, 12 in the Tabuk region, 10 visits to factories in the Al-Baha region, 9 visits in the Najran region, 6 in the Al-Jawf region, and 5 in the Hail region.

The the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources confirmed that its field visits are conducted on a regular basis to inspect industrial facilities and ensure compliance with the necessary standards and requirements, monitor factories’ commitment to providing high-quality products in accordance with approved standards and specifications, verify product safety, and rectify conditions at factories located outside industrial cities.
Through these visits, the Ministry seeks to stimulate local industries across all sectors, monitor the quality of domestic products, and strengthen cooperation with its partners in the sector; in order to keep pace with the Kingdom’s industrial development, thereby projecting a positive image of the quality of national products and their ability to compete globally, as well as meeting the needs of the local market and enhancing its supply.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources requires any industrial facility to obtain a safety license issued by the Civil Defense, to provide safety measures appropriate to the nature of its operations, and to ensure the availability of emergency exits, a fire suppression system, and the safe storage of raw materials and products.
