Kuwait Hosts the 15th Gulf Industrialists Conference

Kuwait is preparing to host the 15th Gulf Industrialists Conference in November which aims to attract foreign investment and improve the investment climate in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries

For his part, Mohammed Fahad Al-Ajmi, Acting Director General of the Kuwaiti Public Authority for Industry, said: "The conference will be held on November 25 and 26 under the theme "Foreign Direct Investment and Its Impact on Gulf Industries."

The conference aims to define clear policies for developing growth plans in GCC countries based on a comprehensive set of factors to attract foreign investors, noting that the conference will seek to establish an ambitious strategy for the development and advancement of the industrial sector.

For his part, Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Aqil, Secretary-General of the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC), stated: During the conference, key topics will be discussed, most notably the current state, development, and incentives for foreign investment in GCC countries, in addition to reviewing the main features of foreign investment and its role.

Participants will discuss creating and improving the investment environment in GCC countries by reviewing legislation, fiscal and monetary policies, institutions, financing, and free zones, as well as specialized industrial cities and zones and infrastructure that supports investment.
