The second stop on the NEOM roadshow, which began in Jeddah under the slogan “Discover NEOM,” aims to showcase the promising opportunities that NEOM offers—both now and in the future—to investors and local companies in the region, and to update them on the progress of various NEOM projects.
Officials from NEOM highlighted the most prominent investment opportunities across various sectors, led by the manufacturing sector—one of NEOM’s key sectors—as the company seeks to lead the transition toward the Fourth Industrial Revolution, build a circular carbon economy, develop and train a highly skilled workforce, and leverage innovation to advance manufacturing through the application of cutting-edge digital technologies, systems, and automation.
Commenting on the tour, NEOM CEO Engineer Nazmi Al-Nasr said, “NEOM has, since its inception, served as a hub for attracting high-quality global investments in the sectors of infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, energy, water, tourism, sports, and media production, and there are still many significant opportunities across all fields; Therefore, we have been keen to involve local investors and national companies in building and developing the world’s most significant and largest urban project, one that is grounded in sustainability and innovation and centered on people.”
Al-Nasr added, “In these tours and meetings with investors and local companies, we aim to introduce NEOM’s vision and its strategic objectives, which are to achieve an exceptional quality of life and a thriving business environment, reimagining the concept of sustainability, and creating promising economic sectors, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, as well as updating them on the progress the projects are making day by day.”
The visit to the Eastern Province holds particular importance for NEOM, as the region is characterized by its attractive tourist destinations and its status as a strong industrial and commercial hub;given its constant and active transportation traffic by land and sea, as well as the scale of its economic activity, which it has gained as a global hub for the oil and petrochemical industries—a factor that has contributed to enhancing the experience of the region’s economic and commercial sectors.
For his part, the Deputy CEO of Neom Rayan Fayez ”We witnessed significant engagement during the Jeddah tour, which was a remarkable success. We held numerous meetings with business and financial leaders to brief them on available investment opportunities, as well as the progress made on various NEOM projects. The Eastern Province tour builds on the success of the Jeddah experience, especially after we observed the enthusiasm of the region’s business leaders and their eagerness to participate in the meetings and sessions. There are still many opportunities for further partnerships as work on NEOM’s projects progresses,” He emphasized NEOM’s commitment to supporting national industries and enhancing the contribution of local investments in building one of the most important projects that will offer a unique economic and industrial experience and provide an exceptional quality of life for people.
The introductory tour will conclude its series of meetings and gatherings in the capital, Riyadh, as part of efforts by NEOM aimed at showcasing its current and future projects as one of the most important initiatives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, in addition to presenting its strategy and vision to serve as an accelerator of human progress, a hub for attracting the brightest minds from the Kingdom and around the world, and a driver of economic growth through its contribution to increasing the Kingdom’s non-oil GDP, and providing thousands of job opportunities in an environment that offers an ideal quality of life, the highest standards of sustainability, and the conservation of natural resources.
It is worth noting that NEOM’s promotional tours are drawing widespread interest and generating significant engagement, having already achieved remarkable success in several European countries—such as the United Kingdom, France, and Germany—as well as in the United States; including meetings with a number of major global companies, investors, business leaders, and international experts.
