The Council of Saudi Chambers is participating with a delegation of 30 Saudi business leaders in the Saudi-Russian Business Forum, which the Council is organizing in cooperation with the General Investment Authority and the Arab-Russian Business Council, in St. Petersburg, Russia, today, with the participation of Saudi and Russian government and private-sector entities, to discuss areas of cooperation in trade and investment. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Zamil, President of the Council of Saudi Chambers, who will lead the business delegation participating in the forum, explained that the private-sector delegation represents many economic sectors that are priorities on the agenda for economic cooperation with Russia, and that the forum will focus on discussing cooperation in the fields of agriculture, food security, infrastructure development, transportation, power generation, electrical materials, medicine and healthcare, oil, gas, and petrochemicals, as well as real estate, housing, and construction. There will also be specialized workshops led by experts to explore ways to cooperate in these sectors and the investment opportunities available within them.
He noted the importance of strengthening and developing economic relations between the Kingdom and Russia across all sectors in a manner that serves the interests of both countries, emphasizing the support of the leadership of both nations through reciprocal visits and efforts to establish a commercial and economic partnership and cooperation that achieves mutual benefit, noting that conditions are favorable for moving forward with the development of the Saudi-Russian trade partnership and that there are opportunities for exports from Russia in the fields of trucks, agricultural equipment, communications devices, the pharmaceutical industry, and wheat.
