He noted the importance of technological transformation and digital infrastructure in the progress and prosperity of countries, which encouraged India to prioritize it during its presidency this year, addressing the Kingdom's advanced positions in the global indicators of digital transformation, quality of life, and quality of digital infrastructure, in addition to its global progress in the field of digital government, achieving its highest historical result in the e-government development index - in indicators issued by the United Nations - in addition to its progress globally in the field of digital government.The Kingdom ranked 31st in 2022, 12 places higher than in 2020, and ranked 27th out of 193 countries in the Telecommunications Infrastructure Index in 2022, thanks to the efforts made to make the Kingdom a leading model in the provision of digital services.
Engineer Al Falih praised the remarkable progress achieved by the Kingdom's investment environment under the reforms of Saudi Vision 2030, where the Kingdom ranked 6th in the Global Competitiveness Index for economic performance in 2023, and 13th in the Global Competitiveness Index for business efficiency issued by the International Institute for Management Development, and became among the best internationally in global competitiveness strategies, through proactive improvements and initiatives and the use of technology and data to enhance the competitiveness and attractiveness of the Kingdom.
