The General Authority for Statistics announced an increase in operating revenues for the small and medium-sized enterprises in 2022 by 5.8 percent to 1.339 billion riyals, compared to 1.265 billion riyals in 2021, an increase of 74 billion riyals.

According to the Authority, the value of operating expenses in enterprises reached 687.8 billion riyals in 2022, compared to 659.4 billion riyals in 2021, an increase of 28.3 billion riyals, or 4.3 percent, year-over-year.

Compensation for employees in the sector also rose in 2022, reaching 164.2 billion riyals compared to 155.7 billion riyals in 2021, an increase of 8.4 billion riyals, or 5.4 percent.
