The General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage revealed in a newly released report that it has organized, sponsored and supported about 855 events during the past four years, where the number of events in 1433 AH reached 139 events, in 1434 AH 209 events, in 1435 AH 247 events, and in 1436 AH (until Ramadan) 260 events.
The report attributed the huge amount of tourism and cultural activity to the partnership between the Authority and the regions, which resulted in the existence of this distinctive number of festivals and tourism events that are becoming more developed, mature and successful year after year. The General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage works through the tourism development agencies in the regions to support the efforts of tourism development councils and other partners to organize these festivals and events, which contributes to the development of domestic tourism in the holidays, with the Authority providing marketing, media, technical and financial support to organize these diverse tourism events, in addition to organizing media programs to stimulate visits to tourist sites in the Kingdom's regions.
