We Saudis have the right to be happy with the global progress achieved by the Kingdom in all fields, which was witnessed by the country's regions without exception, and felt by citizens, residents and followers on the ground, and we have the right to be proud of our leadership and people who voluntarily took the path of change and modernization, in conjunction with the announcement of Vision 2030 seven years ago, and achieved much brilliance and success with the testimony of international organizations.

I felt this content when I listened to the annual royal speech, delivered by His Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the opening of the fourth year of the eighth session of the Shura Council on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. His Highness enumerated before the members of the Council and citizens the series of achievements the Kingdom has achieved in the past years of the ambitious vision, and promises another series of achievements in the coming years, painting a bright and beautiful picture of the future of the Kingdom and its international position among major countries.

<I do not exaggerate if I emphasize that the annual royal speech in the Shura Council was followed by many at home and abroad, for no other reason than that it reflects the Kingdom's internal and external policy and constitutes a roadmap, on which the Shura Council follows at a steady pace, to draw the features of the next stage that the Council deals with through the lofty contents at all levels, both internal and external, regional and international; the speech is also a constitution that the Council follows in performing its mission in serving the homeland and the citizen, in addition to that the speech reflects the wise leadership recognition of the national role played by the Council in proposing regulations, laws and the development of the building

The royal speech confirms important facts that should be pointed out, (first) that the Kingdom, under the umbrella of the vision, has taken its decision to change, modernize and keep pace with everything new, (second) that any modernization in the Kingdom must touch the sky and start from where others ended, and (third) that the Kingdom has so far achieved many of the aspirations declared in the vision, which would not have been possible without it. This would not have been possible without the mechanism followed by the Crown Prince in motivating the citizen to be the pillar of this change and achieve the desired goals, and (fourth) that what has been achieved is only the beginning of a Saudi success story that has not yet been completed, and that this story will be told during the rest of the years of the ambitious vision.

It was no coincidence that the Crown Prince focused in his speech on the Kingdom's economic achievements, as they have a positive impact on other sectors, especially since these achievements came with the testimony of international organizations, which saw that the mechanism of change in the Kingdom reveals an advanced country, which is at the center of the Middle East region, but shares its concerns and files with the countries of the first year, and that this country is coming - inevitably - to the forefront of the international scene, with the determination of its leaders and the determination of its people.
