The Northern Border Region Secretariat issued, 142 building compliance certificates during the fourth quarter of 2023, and conducted 6,641 field inspections of commercial establishments to verify health and professional licenses, as well as ”625“ inspections of valid commercial licenses.
The Secretariat called on owners of buildings located on roads subject to mandatory certification to apply for it through the ”Baladi" platform before the compliance deadline on February 16, in line with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs" initiatives to improve the urban landscape.
The Secretariat Northern Borders Secretariat explained that issuing the certificate requires specific criteria to ensure these buildings meet the minimum standards for addressing visual distortion, as outlined in the updated guide for procedures regarding the issuance of building compliance certificates; with the aim of ensuring that building owners and usufructuaries of buildings located on the streets specified in the geographic explorer do not introduce elements or components that violate the permit, to minimize visual distortions in those buildings and enhance the quality of the urban landscape in cities, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to build a vibrant society and healthy urban cities.
