Data from the monthly bulletin issued by General Authority for Statistics revealed that the average price of iron ton in the Saudi market decreased by the end of last December, on a monthly basis, after a series of increases that lasted 4 consecutive months.
Data showed that the average price of a ton of iron in Saudi Arabia decreased by the end of the same month by 13.1% on an annual basis.
The data showed that the average price of a ton of iron in the Kingdom by the end of the same month decreased by 13.1% on an annual basis, to record an average price of 435.79 riyals compared to its value in December 2022.

According to the monthly bulletin of the Statistics Authority, the average price of a ton of iron recorded 2891.97 riyals at the end of last December, compared to 3327.76 riyals per ton at the end of the same month of 2022.
.This decline was recorded last December, after iron prices witnessed increases during 4 consecutive months, as it was 2909.13 riyals in November, 2900.53 riyals in October, 2891.18 riyals in September, while it was 2883.24 riyals in August compared to 2874.45 riyals in July.
According to the monthly bulletin of the Statistics Authority, the average price of a ton of iron was 2891.97 riyals at the end of last December.
On an annual basis, the price of a ton of iron during the past year 2023 decreased by 18.6% from the previous year, as the average price of a ton during the past year reached 2995.54 riyals, compared to 3681.73 riyals per ton in 2022.
Rebar prices of various sizes
At the end of last December, 8mm national and 10mm national rebar fell by 15.1% and 15%, respectively, to reach 2769.66 riyals and 2816.41 riyals, respectively.
Iron 14mm national iron fell by 14.2% year-on-year to 2665.16 riyals per ton, while 12mm national iron fell by 14.07% to 2669.49 riyals per ton.
<16mm national steel fell by 13.9% to 2671.89 riyals per ton, and 18mm national steel fell by 13.78% to 2676.5 riyals per ton. As for the price of national 6mm steel, it decreased by 7.46% at the end of last December year-on-year, to 3974.69 riyals per ton, but increased slightly by 0.2% compared to its price in November of 3966 riyals.
On a monthly basis, prices declined by 0.7% to 1% during last December compared to the previous November.
