Construction work continues in Makkah on “Thakher Makkah,” a project being developed by Thakher Investment and Real Estate Development, The project is considered one of the most important and largest real estate developments currently under construction in the central region. It stands out for features that make it a focal point, primarily because of its proximity to the Grand Mosque, Furthermore, those in charge have been keen to set several strategic goals for it, which they are striving to achieve on the ground. All of these objectives are aimed at enhancing the hotel accommodation services provided to visitors to Makkah—including pilgrims performing Hajj and Umrah—as well as innovating new approaches in the hospitality sector.

Zakher Makkah is located on the northern side of the Grand Mosque, less than 1 km away via a route with no hills or tunnels. It is also approximately 4.25 km from the site of Mina and 6.25 km from the site of Muzdalifah, The same applies to the plain of Arafat, which is approximately 8 km from the project, ensuring that pilgrims performing Hajj and Umrah can fulfill their obligations with comfort and ease.

It has the capacity to house approximately 250,000 people and includes 85 hotels, 8 residential towers, 10 serviced apartment towers, as well as covered and open-air markets, and other public facilities within the project, such as mosques, health centers, police stations, and fire stations.
