The session discussed how technology and innovation can be key to addressing global challenges such as climate change, pandemics and epidemics, sustainable economic transformation of societies, and how innovation is shaping the future of Saudi Arabia.

Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment, talked about the long-term economic risks that must be taken into account, the effects of recent global supply chain issues on localization efforts in a number of sectors, the balance between boosting local growth and using technology such as 5G and 6G in the near future to face any future challenges.

H.E. Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, President of SEDAYA, reviewed SEDAYA's efforts in enabling digital transformation for government entities, noting the progress made by the Kingdom in addressing data quality, artificial intelligence designs and privacy, pointing out the magnitude of the positive effects of artificial intelligence, which serve innovation and quality of services, and constitute the core foundations of digital transformation, the fourth industrial revolution, quality and integration of services.
H.E. Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, President of SEDAYA, highlighted the importance of SEDAYA's efforts in enabling the digital transformation of government entities. His Excellency said that since its establishment, Sadaya has focused on making information in one place through a unified database to enable its partners to use the infrastructure to train employees and provide optimal use to help them grow economically, noting that two years ago, Sadaya established the Energy Center of Excellence to optimize the use of artificial intelligence to increase renewable energy by 20% and reduce harmful emissions by 40% through AI technologies.
