Participating The General Real Estate Authority is participating in the MIPIM international real estate exhibition in Cannes, France, from March 12 to 15, where the Authority will showcase real estate legislation and best regulatory practices in the real estate sector at its booth. The Authority’s official spokesperson, Taysir Al-Mufarraj, emphasized that the Authority’s participation stems from its role in highlighting the Saudi real estate sector and its contribution to diversifying investment sources—one of the key objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030— in addition to highlighting the role of real estate regulations in increasing the attractiveness of investment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s real estate sector.
The General Real Estate Authority Reviews the Real Estate Regulatory Framework
Al-Mufarraj added: "the General Real Estate Authority and all government agencies are now sharing their experiences and best practices in regulatory work, as evidenced by the interest shown in all international forums in the Kingdom’s legislation, which enables economic sectors to achieve sustained growth, Furthermore, the General Real Estate Authority’s participation in international real estate exhibitions and conferences, in general, is part of its role in raising awareness and encouraging investment in the Saudi real estate sector.
Al-Mufarraj explained that during its participation in the ”MIPIM 2024 World Real Estate Exhibition,” the Authority is showcasing the real estate legislative framework, which includes the “Real Estate Brokerage System,“ and the ”Real Estate Contribution System,” in addition to activities regulated by the Authority, including: (off-plan sales and leasing, the Ijar program, the real estate unit classification program, the Malak program, the Saudi Real Estate Institute, and the Real Estate Registry). Participation in this international gathering will enable the Authority to meet with senior officials, executives, and international experts in the real estate industry to introduce them to these systems, as well as to highlight the real estate opportunities in the Kingdom and its economic diversity. Through its participation, the Authority will also learn about the latest offerings from participating countries in the fields of real estate technology, process automation, and the development of real estate legislation.
The MIPIM International Real Estate Exhibition, which has been held annually in Cannes, France, since 1990, is considered one of the most important and prominent real estate events worldwide. It brings together leaders in the real estate and construction industries from around the world, and this year’s edition features more than 6,500 investors and over 300 global institutions and companies in the field of real estate development and marketing from more than 90 countries.
