Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones “MODON” has issued its annual report for the year 2023, which reviews the most important achievements of the Authority and its most prominent works, initiatives and development projects to achieve sustainable industrial development and attract local and foreign investments in line with the targets of the National Industrial Strategy and the aspirations of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Cumulative investments during 2023 recorded an increase of SAR 14.45 billion, as new investments increased by 63% with 891 local and foreign investments, and attracted foreign investments grew by 85% compared to 2022, thus earning MODON the National Industry Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) award as the highest government entity attracting investment; in addition to 34 other local, regional and international awards that confirm its industrial and sustainable development leadership.
Modon has continued its efforts to achieve the highest level of investment in the region. MODON continued to develop a stimulating industrial environment in accordance with its continuous commitment to enable the pillars of an industrial renaissance that contributes to consolidating the Kingdom's position as a leading industrial power and a global logistics center, as the area of developed land in industrial cities expanded to exceed 209 million square meters, the number of factories reached 6,443 factories, the number of industrial, logistics and investment facilities increased to 7,946 facilities, and the number of ready units recorded 1,301 factories and ready units.
MODON has devoted itself to developing the national industry and logistics development program “Nadlab” as the highest governmental program for investment, in addition to 34 local, regional and international awards that confirm its industrial leadership and sustainable development.
Modon dedicated its continuous efforts to enhance its role in developing model industrial cities and an attractive investment environment by launching Modon Oasis in Yanbu and Asir Industrial City, in addition to completing 48 development projects whose total cost exceeded 1.3 billion riyals, and implemented 260 ready-made factories in industrial cities (third in Riyadh, third in Jeddah, second in Dammam, second in Qassim and Jazan) with 701 TP3T participation from the private sector, within the framework of the initiatives entrusted to it in the Nadlab program.
Modon has also dedicated its continuous efforts to enhance its role in developing model industrial cities and an attractive investment environment with the launch of the Modon Oasis in Yanbu and the Industrial City in Asir. <To enhance services in industrial cities, MODON has added 724 MVA of electrical capacity in the industrial cities: “Dammam III, Jeddah III, Taif, Waad Al Shamal and Najran, added 45,000 m3/day of potable water in Sudair Industrial and Business City and Madan Oasis in Yanbu, and launched sewage and industrial services in Sudair Industrial and Business City and Madinah Industrial City with a capacity of 15,000 m3/day.

Launching the second phase of the National Productivity Program
MODON revealed the launch of the second phase of the National Productivity Program according to the targets of the Future Factories Initiative, by assessing and building transformation plans for 239 factories using the international CIRI index to measure the level of adoption of the fourth industrial revolution applications, and the authority is working during 2024 to assess an additional 240 factories.

It is worth mentioning that MODON was established in 2001, and works on the development of industrial lands and integrated infrastructure, and today it oversees 36 industrial cities, including 6 industrial oases across the Kingdom, in addition to its supervision of private industrial parks and cities.
