The Jeddah Municipality conducted more than 14,000 inspection tours of commercial and health facilities across 11 sub-municipalities during the month of May.
Mohammed bin Obaid Al-Baqmi, the official spokesperson for the Jeddah Municipality, confirmed that inspection efforts will continue and be intensified with the aim of increasing compliance rates among commercial and health facilities, ensuring food safety and security, and improving the quality of services provided to residents and visitors, noting that last month, 11,701 health facilities and 2,930 commercial establishments were inspected, and 350 violating establishments.
He noted that the inspection tours resulted in the recording of 23,535 violations, ranging from failure to obtain or renew health certificates to violations related to health requirements, as well as improper preservation and storage.
