The Land Registry Announces the Start of Registration for 1,608 Properties in the City of Buraydah

Registration is open for 90 days via the rer.sa platform, and property owners are encouraged to register to avoid penalties.

The Real Estate Registry announced yesterday the start of registration for (1,608 real estate parcels) in the Qurtuba neighborhood of Buraydah. Registration will continue for 90 days until the end of the day on October 7, 2024, corresponding to 4 Rabi" al-Awwal 1446 AH.

The Land Registry called on owners of properties located within the neighborhood to register their properties through the Land Registry platform, rer.sa. They may contact the Customer Service Center at 199002 to inquire about registration procedures and steps.

Property owners must register their properties within the specified period to avoid penalties and fines set forth by the Real Estate Registration System.

The Land Registry confirmed that it is continuing its work to register properties in 15 regions covered by the Real Estate Registry, as part of its efforts to increase reliability and transparency in the sector by building a comprehensive real estate registry for property information in the Kingdom, which will serve as a unified reference for all real estate data.

The Real Estate Registry ”Property Number” and a title deed for each registered real estate unit. The new title deed will include the property’s precise geographic location, owner information, property descriptions, condition, and associated rights and obligations, as well as all real estate transactions affecting it, serving as the basis for documenting ownership and the associated real estate rights, thereby contributing to the sustainability and strengthening of the real estate sector and its key drivers.

The General Real Estate Authority had previously announced that the Qurtuba neighborhood had been designated as one of the areas benefiting from the real estate registry, which are identified according to several criteria, and based on the Authority’s role as the competent body for real estate registration in accordance with the Cabinet’s decision and the provisions of the Real Estate Registration System. The National Company for Real Estate Registration Services (the Real Estate Registry) is responsible for establishing and managing the real estate registry in the Kingdom using geospatial data and modern technologies through an integrated digital platform that contributes to enhancing transparency and trust in real estate services and data.
