Saudi and U.S. companies sign 14 agreements during Washington Investment Forum

A number of Saudi companies signed agreements during the Saudi-U.S. Investment Forum, organized by the Saudi-U.S. Business Council and the General Investment Authority, which concluded yesterday in Washington, The agreements covered most key sectors, such as healthcare services, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, tourism, training, housing, employment, and other vital sectors. The newspaper "Amlak" lists the agreements that were signed:

Agreement on the Treatment of Brain Injuries

Saudi Inter Health and its U.S. counterpart, X2 Biosystems, signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on the treatment of brain injuries in the Kingdom. The agreement allows the Saudi company to utilize advanced electronic sensors, wearable biosensors, wireless communications, and cloud-based data analysis provided by X2 to monitor head injuries and quickly and accurately diagnose and track potential concussions, It also includes providing comprehensive support and specialized care for concussion patients, enabling athletes—as well as civilians, industrial workers, and military personnel—to return to the field.

Agreement to Develop Nuclear Medicine

Samama Holding and SAH Global signed an agreement covering a number of projects in the field of nuclear medicine, including the establishment of a molecular imaging center, a proton therapy center, and a training and education center in nuclear medicine. Samama also signed a memorandum of cooperation with General Electric International to support the company’s plans to invest in the healthcare sector.

Solar-Powered Street Lighting

Al-Abdulkarim Holding Group has entered into a cooperation agreement with Solar One to provide solar-powered street lighting throughout the Kingdom, including assembly, installation, and system maintenance. This agreement follows major orders, including the installation of more than 2,000 solar lighting units to illuminate over 60 kilometers of roads leading to remote production facilities. The agreement commits to finding renewable energy solutions to meet the growingdemand for energy, transferring technology to the Kingdom, and providing better job opportunities for the workforce.

Aircraft Maintenance in the Kingdom

A partnership agreement was also signed between Horizon Shield and G.A. Talsis in the field of aircraft maintenance in the Kingdom, under which the latter will assist Horizon in developing its aircraft component maintenance project within the Kingdom, and enhance its capacity to repair and manufacture spare parts.

New Pharmaceutical Products

Al-Salhia Company also signed a cooperation agreement with Amgen, a U.S.-based multinational biopharmaceutical company headquartered in California and considered the world’s largest independent biotechnology company. The agreement aims to develop cooperation between the two parties by introducing new products to the Kingdom’s markets.

Real Estate Investment

New York-based Dom Equities signed an agreement to support the plans of Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Subaie & Sons (MASK) for real estate investment in the United States, in order to benefit from the expertise of the American company, which manages investments in multi-unit residential properties across the United States.

Development of Medical Investments

Memoranda of understanding were also signed between InterHealth and the Madcap-Welman Fund to help develop medical research and investments in the Kingdom.

Technical Hospitality Services

A partnership agreement was signed between Al-Tayyar Travel Group and Equinox Hospitality, with the aim of leveraging the U.S. company’s global technical and operational expertise, thereby enhancing its ability to capitalize on future opportunities in the hospitality industry, which is poised for further expansion and growth in the Saudi market. The effects of this partnership are expected to become evident in Al-Tayyar Group’s project to develop Zakher City in Makkah.

Developing Academic Exchange

Saudi Al-Hoshan Company also signed a memorandum of understanding with the U.S.-based Herman Miller Company in the fields of education and research, aimed at strengthening cooperation to build strong relationships, and to foster academic and cultural exchange in education, research, and other activities beneficial to Saudi youth.

Transfer of Infrastructure Expertise

Al-Rabiah Engineering Consultants and Michael Baker International signed an agreement in the field of engineering consulting to enhance shared expertise, transfer infrastructure know-how, and ensure the safety of buildings and structures.

Other Miscellaneous Agreements

A cooperation agreement was signed between the Saudi-American Glass Company and Technical Glass Products in the field of glass manufacturing.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between Al-Bassam Investment Group and Azad Asset Management to exchange financial expertise and conduct online trade.

A partnership agreement was also signed between Al-Jumaih Group and the U.S.-based Enterprise for car rentals in the Kingdom and the region.
