The the Tabuk region has experienced increasing urban growth. During the first half of 2024, the Tabuk Regional Municipality, represented by the Agency for Urban Development and Municipalities, issued a total of 4,337 building permits, compared to the same period last year (2023), which saw the issuance of 3,707 building permits, representing a significant increase of 17% this year.
Engineer Youssef Al-Atwi, Deputy Secretary-General for Urban Development, explained that this rise in the number of building permits reflects the rapid urban growth the region is experiencing. He noted that among the building permit services provided is the issuance of occupancy certificates, which totaled 473, It also issued permits to regularize the status of (44) existing buildings, corrected and amended the details of (19) building permits, and entered data for more than (500) old building permits into the Baladi platform, It also issued 54 technical reports and transferred ownership of 133 immediate building permits.
Al-Atwi emphasized that all procedures involved in these services are fully electronic and conducted through the Baladi platform, as part of efforts to automate municipal services and streamline construction procedures.
