The Supervisory Committee for the Elections of Members of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce for the 19th term (1446–1450 AH), announced the election results following the conclusion of voting this Thursday evening for all voters who had attempted to vote during the previous period but were unable to do so via the electronic voting system.
Following a recount, the election results showed that nine candidates were elected: Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Muhammad bin Al-Sheikh, Turki bin Khalid Muhammad Al-Ajlan, Salman bin Mus’ad Saud Al-Otaibi, Salim bin Ali Saeed Al-Ajmi, Ajlan bin Saad Muhammad Al-Ajlan, Mohammed bin Abdullah Abdulaziz Al-Murshid, Abdulsalam bin Abdulrahman Nasser Al-Majid, Abdullah bin Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Khuraif, and Naghimsh bin Fahd Abdulhadi Al-Ajmi.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Commerce issued a statement on May 13, in which it announced—based on the Ministry’s observations and the objections it received regarding the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce elections (1445–1449 AH), which were held during the period from (19–26 Shawwal 1445 AH), corresponding to (April 28–May 5, 2024 CE), and in the spirit of transparency, the application of the principle of fairness, the protection of the rights of voters and candidates, and the verification of the integrity of the procedures, it has been decided to exclude votes cast in an irregular manner from the election results; the Election Committee will enable every voter who attempted to vote but was unable to do so via the electronic voting system to cast their ballot within the prescribed voting period; and the election results will then be recounted and announced.
