<The Secretary General of the Local Content Award, Alia bint Abdullah Al-Muslat, explained that the award includes (22 awards and 5 honorary certificates), and the scope of the targeted categories has been expanded and updated to give the opportunity to all contributors to the development of local content in the Kingdom, through the introduction of a group of major projects in the private sector axis, which deals with the major projects of state-owned companies, in addition to the introduction of an axis under the name of the non-profit sector, due to the importance and high impact this sector represents in the development of local content, as the award gives this sector the opportunity to participate and develop local content through the Excellence in Local Content Award axis, which is the most important and influential sector in the Kingdom's local content sector. Through the award, the Authority aims to motivate the public and private sectors to apply successful practices that contribute to favoring local content and complying with its requirements in various sectors, and the development of the third edition of the Local Content Award aims to achieve the Authority's strategic objectives by increasing local content in various sectors, developing its performance in contracts and projects, and raising awareness of the concept of local content.
