“Developmental Housing”: More than 12 thousand housing units for the neediest families since the beginning of 2024

It provided more than 110 million riyals worth of support to 39,000 distressed cases, engaged 182,000 volunteers, and empowered 49 organizations.

<The Development Housing Agency of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced the ownership of more than 12 thousand housing units for the neediest families since the beginning of this year 2024, until the end of the third quarter of this year.
The Agency explained that it provided support to defaulters who faced exceptional circumstances that hinder the commitment to pay rent, and an executive judgment was issued against them, where the total support provided amounted to more than 110 million riyals for 39 thousand cases of default; with the aim of achieving social and economic protection for families, according to the governance of eligibility and categories subject to support.

From the beginning of the year to the end of the third quarter, 182,000 volunteers from various cities in the Kingdom contributed to the development and sustainability of cities by participating in volunteer activities in the municipal and housing sectors, where they contributed to improving the urban landscape, beautifying parks and maintaining public facilities, in addition to monitoring visual distortion elements, monitoring housing units, and volunteers participated in the delivery and operation of housing units, in addition to contributing to saving grace campaigns and other general community activities.

At the level of the non-profit sector, the Agency explained that 49 non-profit organizations were established and empowered, with the aim of achieving the development of the sector, increasing its contribution to GDP, and stimulating the capabilities and efficiency of organizations. The Development Housing Agency of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing aims through its initiatives and programs to provide housing units for the neediest families and empower third sector associations and institutions.
