The Public Authority for Real Estate is participating in the World Urban Forum, which is being held in Cairo, Egypt, during the period (November 4-8, 2024), within the Saudi Pavilion, which includes more than 30 national government and private entities, and the participation comes with the aim of highlighting the Kingdom's leading role in achieving the global targets for sustainable urban development and its participation in shaping the regional and global urban landscape.
The participation of The General Real Estate Authority in the World Urban Forum 2024, which is the largest global event to discuss the challenges of sustainable urban development, comes within its role to promote cooperation between real estate industry leaders, policy makers and experts from around the world to overcome challenges and push the growth of the Saudi real estate sector to a more modern and modern future horizons, by adopting the best international practices in sustainable urban planning and design, ensuring that urban development projects are compatible with the principles of sustainable urban development. <Through the dialogue sessions and workshops held at the World Urban Forum, the Authority will review the system of real estate legislation, including the real estate registration system, which is a key pillar for achieving urban transformation and contributes to the regulation of land acquisition and registration of property in a transparent and accurate manner, in addition to reviewing the system and regulations for the sale and lease of real estate projects on the map. The Authority's participation will also focus on highlighting the economic investment opportunities and potentials in the Saudi real estate market and the pivotal role of innovation, digital transformation and the use of real estate technology in Saudi Arabia. It is noteworthy that the Saudi pavilion at the World Urban Forum extends over an area of more than 3000 m2, and includes an area for meetings, workshops, dialogue sessions, signing platforms, a VIP area and the pavilions of participating national entities. The pavilion also witnesses the organization of more than 40 interactive activities and 150 representatives of Saudi entities, and the agenda of the Saudi participation includes eleven high-level sessions that discuss challenges and solutions related to urban development; most notably future housing, cities, climate challenges and technological developments.
