Quality of Life Program organizes a panel discussion on “Future Cities” at the World Urban Forum

<The Quality of Life Program, one of the programs to achieve Saudi Vision 2030, organized on the sidelines of the 12th World Urban Forum WUF12 in Cairo yesterday, an interactive dialogue session entitled "Towards Future Cities: Putting quality of life and people's well-being at the heart of urban planning."

The session focused on the importance of quality of life and its contribution to achieving the urban development goals.

The session was attended by a group of experts and specialists. The session focused on the importance of integrating the concepts of quality of life and individual well-being into the development agenda, as participants discussed methods, methodologies and strategies that can be applied to improve living conditions in urban areas, as well as how to achieve tangible results through cooperation and partnership between different sectors.

This event was hosted by the Quality of Life Program. The panel discussion hosted officials and specialists from Britain, Australia, Spain and Thailand, as well as representatives from the United Nations Human Settlements Program, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise and obtaining appropriate insights on urban development in accordance with the global vision.

The session also provided an opportunity to explore innovative solutions that meet the needs of society and support sustainable development goals. The session also provided an opportunity for networking between decision makers, investors and entrepreneurs, with the aim of enhancing cooperation between different stakeholders in the field of urban planning.

This event comes within the framework of the Quality of Life Program's commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, as the program contributes through 170 initiatives to achieve 10 goals related to the sports, culture and heritage, tourism, recreation, urban design and security sectors, which in turn contribute to job generation, economic growth, industry and innovation, and humanization of cities.
