The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, represented by the General Directorate of Branches, “1,584” field visits to industrial facilities across all regions of the Kingdom during the month of October, as part of the Ministry’s periodic tours to monitor factories, assess their readiness, and ensure their compliance with quality standards and necessary requirements.
Jarah Al-Jarrah, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, explained that the field visits conducted last month included 451 visits to factories in the Eastern Province, 379 visits in the Makkah region, 358 visits in the Riyadh region, 85 visits in the Asir region, 81 visits in the Madinah region, and 80 visits in the Qassim region, while 32 visits were conducted in the Al-Jawf region, 31 in the Jazan region, 26 in the Hail region, 24 at factories in the Tabuk region, 22 at factories in the Northern Border region, 9 at factories in the Najran region, and 6 in the Al-Baha region.
Ministry of Industry Continues Field Visits
Al-Jarrah affirmed that the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources is determined to continue its field visits to ensure that industrial facilities comply with the necessary standards and requirements, monitor national factories" commitment to providing high-quality products, and their compliance with approved standards and specifications, verifying product safety, and rectifying the conditions of factories located outside industrial cities.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources requires any industrial facility to obtain a safety license issued by the Civil Defense, to provide safety equipment appropriate to the nature of its operations, to ensure the availability of emergency exits, a fire suppression system, and the safe storage of raw materials and products.
