The Jeddah Municipal Secretariat topped the list of issuers of certificates of compliance for commercial buildings among all municipal secretariats in the Kingdom, with the total number of certificates issued by the secretariat reaching 7,846, while the issuance rate reached approximately 63%, according to a report issued by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing.
The Abhur Sub-Municipality topped the list of sub-municipalities, issuing 1,895 certificates, followed by the Airport Sub-Municipality with 1,195 Compliance Certificate, and then the Al-Aziziyah Sub-Municipality with 996 certificates.
Meanwhile, the Rabigh Municipality ranked first among provincial municipalities in terms of the number of compliance certificates issued, issuing 374 compliance certificates for commercial buildings, followed by the Al-Qoz Municipality with 223 certificates, then the Municipality of Adham with 200 certificates.
The requirements for building compliance certificates cover all residential, commercial, and government buildings, in terms of “building design, public location, and visual distortion on the building’s facade.”
