Minister of Transport: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques inaugurates Riyadh train at the beginning of a new era of transportation

The project, with an initial capacity of one million passengers per day, enhances infrastructure and development and supports the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The Minister of Transportation and Logistics, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, extended his thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of the opening of “Riyadh Train“.

H.E. Al Jasser said on this occasion: Riyadh Train was launched today by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, reflecting his enlightened and early vision of ”the public transportation project in Riyadh, both train and buses”, where we are today, thanks to his insightful and advanced vision - and the support of His Highness the Crown Prince - this national and developmental achievement that is the most modern transportation project in the world; according to the highest international technical specifications.

Mr. Al Jasser said on this occasion. <His Excellency the Minister of Transportation and Logistics added: The launch of the Riyadh train represents the beginning of a new era for transportation services in the Kingdom, and a prominent sign of the renaissance we are experiencing in various fields, and establishes Riyadh as one of the most prominent global cities advanced in various types of modern transportation.

H. <His Excellency continued: This huge service project constitutes a major and historic leap to develop transportation infrastructure and support the development and economic mobility, with an initial capacity of one million passengers per day, which contributes to improving the satisfaction of beneficiaries, supporting social mobility, enhancing the quality of life, and achieving the objectives of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics according to the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
