Eight years ago, Vision 2030 promised a developed and prosperous homeland that would announce itself as a strong and proud country, knocking on the doors of the world with confidence and competence, and today the vision is achieving all the achievements it promised, the latest of which was the announcement by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) that the Kingdom has been awarded the right to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

Eight years ago, the vision paid special and exceptional attention to the sports sector, just like the rest of the other sectors, and it did not take long for the sector to go global, by attracting the best players in the world to Saudi clubs, and today, the vision crowns this interest by hosting the largest sporting event on the planet.

The Kingdom's choice to host the largest global sporting event reflects the firm confidence in Saudi Arabia's abilities to organize an exceptional edition of the event, befitting an ambitious country with high potential, creative human capabilities, complete infrastructure, inspirational leadership that sought change, and the will of a people who do not know the impossible.

If there is anyone who deserves a big thank you for attracting this event, it is His Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who personally reviewed the Kingdom's file submitted to FIFA, which received the highest rating in the history of organizing the World Cup, with a rating of 419.8 out of 500 points in an unprecedented historical achievement.

Vision 2030 has always been the first bet of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, who trusted in the capabilities of the Saudi citizen, re-purposed the country's potential and assets in the form of mega projects, and led the comprehensive development process, and succeeded in achieving exceptional achievements, which are witnessed by many and confirm that the Kingdom is on the right path.

Those who think that organizing the World Cup is limited to the concept of hosting football matches on the Kingdom's soil are mistaken, but it is a golden opportunity that advances the country athletically, economically, socially, socially, touristically and culturally. The opportunity also has other manifestations that can revive many fields that serve the event directly or indirectly, and I am certain that the Kingdom will deal with the World Cup in a correct manner and invest it in scientific ways to achieve the maximum benefit from it, this dealing will push the Kingdom to the ranks of first world countries that seek progress and development in every big and small way.

I do not exaggerate if I assert that in conjunction with the decision to host the World Cup, workshops will be launched, preparing for the event from all tracks, and accordingly, many sectors will revive, supporting the national economy and changing the country's image for the better, in preparation for the global event. The first sector that will lead the scene is the real estate sector, which raises the maximum level of readiness to build international stadiums that host matches, and guest houses that accommodate the public, and the tourism, travel and entertainment sector will revive, and the recovery reaches the culture sector, which exploits the arrival of fans from around the world and prepares programs to introduce them to Saudi culture and traditions and its civilizational heritage.
