“MODON signs 23 contracts worth SAR 1.75 billion to develop industrial cities

The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) has signed 23 contracts with the private sector worth more than SAR 1.75 billion to develop and complete infrastructure and infrastructure projects in a number of industrial cities.

The contracts include the development of infrastructure spaces, including the infrastructure development project in the industrial city of Medina, the development of Madan Oasis in Al-Ahsa and its connection to external roads, the implementation of the road linking the industrial city of Asir to the main road with a length of 4.5 kilometers, the rehabilitation of the road linking Sudair Industrial and Business City with a length of 10 kilometers, and the development of infrastructure networks for the third industrial city in Dammam in the second phase.

The contracts include the development of infrastructure spaces, including the infrastructure development project in the industrial city of Medina. The contracts included the construction of 171 prefabricated factories with an area of 900 square meters per factory in the industrial cities of Dammam, Jeddah, Al Kharj and Sudair, in addition to the implementation of 76 prefabricated factories in the food cluster in Jeddah.

Since its establishment, MODON has succeeded in developing more than 215 million square meters and implementing an integrated infrastructure system, to oversee today 37 industrial cities, including 6 industrial oases around the Kingdom with more than 6,800 industrial facilities that boost the industrial sector and contribute to doubling national exports.
