Starting today, the Land Registry will begin accepting applications for the first physical registration of (19,239) parcels of land in (28) neighborhoods in the Makkah region.
The real estate registration covers parts of the following neighborhoods: (Al-Safwa District, Dar Al-Salam District, Al-Naseem District, Al-Shumaisi District, Al-Tarawiyah District, Al-Rashidiyah District, Al-Kawthar District, Taybah District, Ain Shams District, Al-Hateem District, Al-Awali District, Al-Umrah District, Al-Shuhada District, Al-Kaakiyah District, Jabal Al-Nour District, Al-Omra District, Al-Jami’ah District, Al-Diyafa District, Ahad District, Al-Rashidiyah District, Al-Hamra District, Al-Furqan District, Al-Asaliyah District, Wadi Jalil District, Ja’ranah District, Al-Safa District, Al-Ghaziyat District, Al-Maqam District), Property owners in these neighborhoods must register their properties by the end of April 24, 2025. You can verify whether a property is located within the announced areas through the Land Registry platform.
The Real Estate Registry has urged property owners to register their properties through the Real Estate Registry platform (rer.sa) or the Real Estate Registry app, and to contact the Customer Service Center at 199002 for inquiries regarding registration procedures and steps, Property owners must register their properties within the specified period to avoid the prescribed penalties and fines.
The Real Estate Registry confirmed that it is continuing its work to register properties in areas covered by the registry, as part of its efforts to increase reliability and transparency in the sector by building a comprehensive real estate registry for property information in the Kingdom, which will serve as a unified reference for all real estate data.
The Real Estate Registry will issue a “Property Number” and a title deed for each property unit registered, The new title deed will include the property’s precise geographic location, owner information, descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, and all real estate transactions involving it, serving as the basis for documenting ownership and the associated real estate rights, thereby contributing to the sustainability and strengthening of the real estate sector and its key enablers.
Real estate zones are determined according to several criteria and based on the role of the General Authority for Real Estate, as the competent authority for real estate registration, in accordance with the Cabinet’s decision and the provisions of the Real Estate Registration Law, while the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services (the Real Estate Registry) is responsible for establishing and managing the real estate registry in the Kingdom using geospatial data and modern technologies through an integrated digital platform that enhances transparency and trust in real estate services and data.
