The number of point-of-sale transactions in the Kingdom during the period from March 2–8, 2025 (the first week of the month of Ramadan), 185,481,000 transactions, worth 13,096,977,000 riyals, compared to 17,575,070,000 riyals during the same period last year.

According to the the Saudi Central Bank’s weekly point-of-sale bulletin, the number of transactions in clothing and footwear reached 8,051,000, with a value of 1,227,495,000 riyals, the number of transactions in construction and building materials reached 1,642,000 with a value of 314,024,000 riyals, and the number of transactions in education reached 116,000 with a value of 200,706,000 riyals.
The number of transactions in the electronics and electrical appliances sector reached 1,152,000, with a value of 159,177,000 riyals, the number of transactions in the fuel station sector reached 14,400,000, with a value of 840,759,000 riyals, and the number of transactions in the healthcare sector reached 7,678,000, with a value of 812,015,000 riyals, and the number of transactions in the furniture sector was 1,413,000, with a value of 321,514,000 riyals.

The number of transactions in the hotel sector was 540,000, with a value of 296,121,000 riyals, and the number of transactions in the public utilities sector was 922,000, with a value of 64,008,000 riyals, The number of transactions in the jewelry sector was 231,000, with a value of 319,704,000 riyals, and the number of transactions in miscellaneous goods and services was 21,061,000, with a value of 1,667,944,000 riyals.

The number of transactions in the entertainment and culture sector reached 2,387,000, with a value of 266,522,000 riyals, and the number of transactions in restaurants and cafes reached 37,982,000, with a value of 1,298,511,000 riyals, the number of transactions in the food and beverage sector reached 47,175,000, with a value of 2,060,794,000 riyals, the number of transactions in the telecommunications sector reached 1,778,000, with a value of 117,988,000 riyals, The number of transactions in the transportation sector reached 2,944,000, with a value of 790,836,000 riyals, while the number of other transactions reached 36,008,000, with a value of 3,338,859,000 riyals.

Across the Kingdom’s cities, the number of weekly point-of-sale transactions in Riyadh reached 58,681,000, with a value of 4,580,649,000 riyals, while the number of point-of-sale transactions in Makkah reached 9,019,000, with a value of 756,666,000 riyals, while the number of point-of-sale transactions in Madinah reached 7,776,000, with a value of 524,222,000 riyals.

The number of point-of-sale transactions in Tabuk reached 3,925,000, with a value of 239,423,000 riyals, The number of point-of-sale transactions in Ha’il was 2,992,000, with a value of 188,483,000 riyals, and the number of point-of-sale transactions in Abha was 2,391,000, with a value of 139,721,000 riyals, The number of point-of-sale transactions in Buraydah was 4,038,000, with a value of 311,033,000 riyals.
