The 26th day of Ramadan in the year 1438 AH, corresponding to June 21, 2017, was an exceptional day in the modern history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may God protect him, issued a decree appointing His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman as Crown Prince. The decision was met with unparalleled enthusiasm from the Saudi people, and this acceptance and satisfaction served as the impetus for the beginning of a new era of comprehensive development and progress that has since raced against time in every aspect.
As we look forward to the eighth anniversary of the Crown Prince’s accession, we turn the clock back to that pivotal and momentous moment when Prince Mohammed bin Salman assumed the role of Crown Prince, highlighting his exceptional leadership qualities and his ideas that leap beyond current events, transcending the present by many years. Such is the nature of inspiring figures who bestow a bright future upon their people ahead of its time, drawing on an enduring national legacy rich with achievements forged by kings throughout past eras. Thus, Saudi Vision 2030 was a natural outcome of thinking outside the box, relying—after God Almighty—on an unyielding resolve that tamed the impossible and turned it into a reality we take pride in and boast about. Indeed, the Kingdom’s Vision programs have become strategies ready for export and global application, placing the human being at the center of the action, For in this flourishing era, the state has prioritized the citizen at every stage of life, recognizing them as the strong and influential human capital driving the diversity of a thriving economy—and the primary beneficiary of the quality of life now taking shape across all facets of Saudi society. Indeed, this rapid development has become the talk of the world.
It is a source of pride and honor that the Kingdom has achieved many accomplishments in recent years, particularly in terms of its global presence, and our wise leadership has every reason to be proud, for the greatest desire of any government is the satisfaction of its people. In this regard, Saudi Arabia ranked first globally in the Edelman Trust Barometer (2024 Trust Report) for citizens’ trust in their government. This trust did not come about by mere chance; rather, it is the result of hard work and meticulous execution, and it reflects satisfaction in all aspects of life—economic, social, sporting, and political.
