“National Water” starts implementing 30 projects in Riyadh region with about two billion riyals

The package includes 1955 km of networks, 18 reservoirs with a capacity of about 85,000 cubic meters, and pumping and lifting stations.

National Water Company, represented by the central sector, announced the start of the implementation of (30) new water and sewage projects in <a href="https://amlak.net.Riyadh region, with a total length of lines and networks of (1955) linear kilometers, at a total cost of nearly two billion riyals, as part of its ongoing efforts to implement its strategic plans to create infrastructure in both the water and environmental services sectors, and based on its initiatives designed to increase the coverage rates of the services it provides to its customers.

Riyadh Water and Sewerage Company, represented by the Central Sector, has started implementing (30) new water and sewage projects in Riyadh. <The company indicated that the water projects that it started implementing amounted to (16) projects in the city of Riyadh and a number of governorates in the region, noting that they include parts of the neighborhoods of the city of Riyadh, namely: Al Taawun, Al Janadiriya, Laban, Al Diriyah, Dirab, and parts of Al Quwaiyah, Afif, Al Dawadimi, Al Mizahimiyah, Al Rayn, Al Kharj, Hawtat Bani Tamim, Al Harik, Al Majma'a, Al Zulfi, Thaddeq, and Al Ayyinah and Al Jubaila governorates with lines and networks lengths exceeding 1,192 linear kilometers, in addition to the construction of 18 water tanks with a total capacity close to 85 thousand cubic meters and pumping stations with a capacity exceeding (247) thousand cubic meters per day at a total cost exceeding one billion riyals.

<a href="https://amlak.net.The National Water Company explained that the sewage projects that began implementation in the region amounted to (14) projects in the city of Riyadh and a number of governorates of the region, indicating that these projects cover parts of the neighborhoods of Al-Munsiyah, Al-Mu'aizilah, Al-Hazm, Namar, Al-Awali, and the implementation of separate sewage lines in a number of neighborhoods in the city of Riyadh. Separate sewage lines in a number of neighborhoods in Riyadh city and parts of Zulfi, Ghatt, Shaqra, Muzahimiyah, Al-Kharj and Hawta Bani Tamim governorates, with a total length of lines and networks of about (763) linear kilometers, in addition to lifting stations with a capacity of (117) thousand cubic meters per day, at a total cost of more than (902) million riyals.

This new package of projects comes in addition to what it announced in May 2024 that it will start implementing 46 projects worth more than (1.6) billion riyals, in addition to what it announced in August 2024 that it will start implementing (20) projects worth about (1) billion riyals.

National Water emphasized that the package of projects comes within its efforts to strengthen the water distribution system, eliminate environmental damage, achieve water security and environmental balance, and continue to implement its strategic plans to raise operational efficiency in the water and environmental sectors according to the highest standards of quality and performance to reach the targets of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
