The president of Saudi Chambers Federation Hassan bin Muajab Al-Huweizi met today with Charles Hallab, CEO of the Saudi-American Business Council, to discuss the prospects for economic relations between the Kingdom and the United States, in light of the visit by His Excellency President Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America.
The two sides agreed on an action plan to increase cooperation between the Federation and the Council by intensifying the exchange of trade delegations, promoting investment opportunities, facilitating communication between Saudi and American companies, and overcoming obstacles to investment between the two countries.
Federation President Hassan Al-Huweizi praised the active role played by the Saudi-American Business Council in supporting and facilitating bilateral cooperation in the fields of business, trade, and investment, and in launching numerous initiatives, projects, and high-quality partnerships between the two business communities.
For his part, Charles Hallab, CEO of the Saudi-American Business Council, emphasized the importance of the U.S. President’s visit to the Kingdom in supporting the strategic economic partnership, expressing his hope to strengthen cooperation with the Federation of Chambers and enhance coordination between the two sides, explaining that the Council’s target sectors include mining, logistics, renewable energy, science, and healthcare.
Discussions focused on priority investment opportunities in the fields of modern technology, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, fintech, clean energy, and the green economy.
It is worth noting that the volume of bilateral trade between the Kingdom and the United States reached approximately $32 billion in 2024.
