Inauguration of 6 road projects in Riyadh at a cost of 380 million riyals

The Deputy Emir of Riyadh inaugurates 112 km of road projects in the presence of Transport Minister Saleh Al-Jasser to boost mobility.

On behalf of HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the region, inaugurated today (6) road projects in the region, with a total length of (112) kilometers, at a cost of (380) million riyals. <This came during a meeting with HE Minister of Transport and Logistics and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Roads Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, and several leaders of the transportation and logistics system.
At the beginning of the reception, H.H. the Deputy Emir of Riyadh welcomed the Minister of Transport and Logistics and the leaders of the sector, stressing that these projects reflect the generous support and great attention given by the wise leadership to the development of all regions of the Kingdom, in fulfillment of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to improve the quality of life and promote sustainable development.
His Highness expressed his happiness with the inauguration of a group of vital road projects in the Riyadh region and the efforts of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics in its sectors and its integrated system, praising its distinguished services that contribute to promoting comprehensive development in various regions of the Kingdom.

Enhancing mobility in the region

<For his part, the Minister of Transport and Logistics thanked H.H. the Emir of Riyadh for his support for the transportation sector projects in the region, praising the inauguration and follow-up of H.H. the Deputy Emir of the region for the transportation sector projects in the Riyadh region.
His Excellency stressed that these projects come as an extension of the support of the wise leadership for the transportation and logistics sector, especially that the inaugurated road projects will contribute to enhancing mobility in the region and serving its visitors, adding that these projects are part of the national strategy for transportation and logistics launched by His Highness the Crown Prince, which aims to consolidate the Kingdom's position as a global logistics center, as they were implemented according to the highest standards of safety and quality and according to the Saudi Road Code standards.

The Minister of Transport and Logistics Services thanked His Highness the Emir for his support for the transportation sector projects in the region. Al-Jasser said that the inaugurated projects will contribute to supporting the road network in the Riyadh region, stressing that the Transport and Logistics System will continue its efforts to upgrade the road network and all modes of transportation, which is one of the most important national capabilities to contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

National Transport Strategy

HHH was then briefed on a presentation on the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics presented by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics for Planning and Sector Development, Engineer Ibrahim bin Othman Al-Jubeir.
HH Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz listened to an explanation of the achievements and projects of the road sector presented by HE Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics for Roads Affairs and Acting CEO of the General Authority for Roads Engineer Badr bin Abdullah Al Dlamy, then HH The Amir watched a visual presentation on the inaugurated road projects in the region.
HH The Deputy Emir of Riyadh was then briefed on the most prominent achievements and projects of the aviation sector by Engineer Sulaiman bin Ahmed Al-Bassam and CEO of Riyadh Airports Ayman bin Abdulaziz Abu Abbaa, and HH The Amir was also briefed on the roles and achievements of the National Transportation Safety Center by its CEO Taye Al-Shammari.

His Highness listened to an explanation of the achievements and projects of the land transport sector, presented by the Deputy Chairman of the Transport Authority for Operations and Digital Transformation Sector, Engineer Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Obeid, then His Highness was briefed on the achievements and projects of the railway sector, presented by the Acting CEO of the Railways (SAR), Khalid Hamid Al-Harbi.

HH the Deputy Emir of Riyadh reviewed the achievements and projects of the postal sector, presented by the General Supervisor of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at the Saudi Postal Corporation (SPL), Salem Al-Rahili.
The projects inaugurated by H.H. Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman included the completion of linking the duplication of the northern transformer in Wadi Al-Dawasir Governorate with a length of (52) km at a cost of (166) million riyals, the completion of the implementation of the Kharj / Al-Quwaiya dual road with a length of (21) km at a cost of (145) million riyals, in addition to the construction of a flyover on the main road connecting the entrance to the cement factory and Dharma / Shaqraa road with a length of 1 km at a cost of (24) million riyals. In addition to completing some of the remaining works on Saad Ashira Road and Ashira/Jalajil Road, implementing single links in Sakhir Farms and Abu Khasifa Farms with a length of (12) km at a cost of (21) million riyals, implementing a road linking Al-Aidaniyah and Saqra to the main road Afif/Dhama with a length of (23) km at a cost of (17) million riyals, and completing the implementation of Umm Rajum/Hafr Al-Atsh road with a length of (3) km at a cost of (7) million riyals.
The reception was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary of the Emirate for Development Affairs in charge, Engineer Salman Al-Dhalaan.
