During the visit, His Excellency launched the new version of the Municipality's geographic information system (GIS) services (GIS 2.0). The future vision of employing artificial intelligence techniques in geospatial data management (GIS AI) and urban system (Planning AI) was reviewed to enhance the quality of municipal services and achieve beneficiary satisfaction, in line with the digital transformation plans and the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
His Excellency was briefed on the future vision of employing My City for smart devices, and the launch of improved geographical indicators and data. His Excellency was briefed on the geographical portal of the Eastern Province Municipality, which provides (15) e-services applied according to international best practices in the field of geographic information systems, and contributed to the completion of more than (100) thousand electronic transactions serving the municipal sector, including electronic sorting, plan approval, cadastral croquet, and licenses for service projects.
During this system, the Municipality achieved (95%) in documenting coordinates, identifying more than (5,000) municipal assets, and updating nearly (18,700) paper instruments, as part of its efforts to develop a smart urban environment based on innovation and sustainability, supporting the objectives of Vision 2030 in building integrated future cities.
