The municipalities of the Riyadh Region, affiliated with the Riyadh Region Municipality, carried out fieldwork during August 2025, which included maintenance, repairs, and environmental improvements, as part of their efforts to enhance the efficiency of infrastructure and raising the standard of municipal services in the region’s cities and governorates.
Field teams began repairing potholes covering an area of 10,514 square meters, removing 2,025 barriers, maintaining 13,968 streetlights, and addressing 1,653 public health violations, as well as maintaining 42,335 square meters of sewer lines, excavating and backfilling 67,165 square meters, and responding to 14,172 reports via the 940 hotline.
Municipalities conducted 15,794 compliance inspection rounds and 3,208 pest control rounds, in addition to collecting 48,329 metric tons of waste, repaired 68,078 square meters of sidewalks, and removed 14 metric tons of waste. The work also included pruning 44,621 trees and maintaining 21,715 square meters of irrigation lines.
These efforts reflect the Riyadh Municipality’s commitment to providing highly efficient municipal services, achieving sustainable urban development that meets residents" aspirations, and contributing to improving quality of life, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, thereby fulfilling its mission to build a vibrant society in a thriving and sustainable city.
