Saudi-Algerian committee signs three agreements to enrich the volume of investment exchange between the two countries

The 11th session of the Saudi-Algerian Committee held in Riyadh recently witnessed the signing of three partnership agreements between the two countries: a cooperation agreement between the government of the Kingdom and the Algerian government in the field of maritime transportation, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Saudi Stock Exchange and the Algerian Stock Exchange, in addition to a work program for cooperation in the field of planning, forecasting and statistics between the Ministry of Economy and Planning in the Kingdom and the Ministry of Finance in Algeria.

On this occasion, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, the head of the Saudi side, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, welcomed the head of the Algerian side, Minister of Finance Mr. Abdulrahman bin Khalfa and his companions. He reviewed the importance of the role assigned to this committee and the hopes pinned on it to achieve more cooperation in various fields, and stressed the importance of the outcomes of this session's meetings, encouraging cooperation in trade, investment, scientific, educational and cultural fields.

It is noteworthy that the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and the Republic of Algeria in 2014 was about 2244 million riyals, of which 2221 million riyals were exports from the Kingdom to Algeria and 24 million riyals were imports from Algeria.
