Bank Al Jazira launches «Ajwa» credit card for travel and shopping

Al Jazeera Bank has launched its all-new and innovative Sharia-compliant credit card, «Ajwaa,» which the bank offers to frequent travelers, The card will award holders free air miles for purchases made with the card, with accelerated mileage accrual available through the Ajwaa Credit Card website (www.ajwaa.baj.com.sa) Customers can use their earned air miles to purchase airline tickets and book hotels.

On the sidelines of the launch ceremony for the Ajwaa credit card, attended by officials from Al-Jazira Bank and Visa, Khalid bin Othman Al-Othman, Senior Vice President and Head of Retail Banking at Al-Jazira Bank, confirmed that the «Ajwa» credit card to be the best card offering a travel rewards program, providing cardholders with the highest mileage value for every riyal spent using the card, in addition to the ease of using the earned air miles to make reservations through the Ajwaa Card website. The card also features many innovative features and distinctive services that the bank’s management has worked diligently to develop, out of a commitment to providing customers with the most creative and innovative products in the credit card market. Al-Othman noted that Al-Jazira Bank’s credit cards exceeded expectations by capturing the largest market share in the credit card marketKingdom over the past year, 2014.

It also grants them access toVIP lounges at 500 airports around the world.
