China-Arab Cooperation Conference kicks off in Riyadh next November

<The fourth session of the Arab-Chinese Energy Cooperation Conference will be held in Riyadh from November 18 to 20, 2014. This was explained by Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Tuwaijri, Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs at the League of Arab States, noting that the General Secretariat will participate in the conference with a high-level delegation headed by him and attended by a large number of senior officials, experts, engineers and businessmen concerned with energy affairs from the Arab and Chinese sides, in addition to the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), the Arab Atomic Energy Commission and the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization, adding that the conference program includes five sessions on electric power, renewable energy, peaceful uses of nuclear energy, oil and gas The organization of the conference comes in implementation of the final statement issued by the third session of the Conference on Arab-Chinese Cooperation in the field of energy, which was held in Yinchuan, People's Republic of China, under the slogan «Together in a fruitful Arab-Chinese partnership» during the period from 16 to 18 September, as well as the recommendations of the sixth ministerial meeting of the Forum for Arab-Chinese Cooperation held in Beijing in June 2014 and within the framework of the Forum for Arab-Chinese Cooperation.
