Abdulaziz bin Abdullah honors the winners of the Entrepreneurship Awards Today

His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Centennial Fund, awarded the Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Global Entrepreneurship Award to the winners in its six branches, and handed the 2014 Entrepreneurial Leadership Award to Nobel Peace Prize winner Professor Muhammad Yunus at the second edition of the award ceremony in Riyadh today in the presence of a large number of Their Royal Highnesses princes, ministers and senior international and local Gulf economic figures.

The award ceremony coincides with the launch of the first Global Entrepreneurship Forum, which is being held for the first time in the Kingdom under the theme “Towards Global Entrepreneurship”, with the participation of about 500 international, Gulf and local experts.

The Forum is a high-level event held once a year and brings together a number of events, including the Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Award for Entrepreneurship, where senior business leaders, intellectuals, journalists, investors, researchers, thought leaders and decision makers meet to work together through discussion sessions on the latest trends and challenges facing entrepreneurs at the current stage."

The Director General of the Global Entrepreneurship Fund explained that the Forum is the most important event in the Kingdom. The Director General of the Centennial Fund and Secretary General of the Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah International Award for Entrepreneurship, Dr. Abdulaziz Al Mutairi, explained that the awarding of the award to Professor Mohammed Younis as the best entrepreneurial leadership figure for 2014 came for his efforts in highlighting the culture of entrepreneurship, stressing that the Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Award is the first on the global level to honor outstanding entrepreneurs and a leading program to encourage entrepreneurial projects, designed to celebrate entrepreneurs in the Kingdom and the world through recognition and reward.
