Manama, the capital of Bahrain, recently hosted the second preparatory meeting for the Second Gulf Businesswomen’s Forum, organized by the General Secretariat of the Federation of GCC Chambers in cooperation with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Chamber’s headquarters ”House of Merchants” to discuss technical and logistical matters related to organizing the forum, which is scheduled to be held in June 2014 in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The forum addressed four key themes, the most important of which were “Women’s Participation in Economic Life ,” ”Young Businesswomen: Female Entrepreneurs in GCC Countries,“ ”Challenges and Difficulties Faced by Women Business Owners,” and “Projects in Which Women Business Owners Should Invest.” .
It is worth noting that this forum is an extension of the first Businesswomen’s Forum, which was held at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of GCC Chambers in Muscat from December 16–18, 2012.
