The report said that factories in the Eastern Province, like other regions of the Kingdom, benefit from many advantages granted to them by the state, such as providing industrial land at nominal rents, exempting raw materials, machinery and spare parts from customs duties, the possibility of obtaining interest-free industrial loans to finance new factories or expand existing factories, and assistance in export operations abroad.
