The Saudi Commission for Accredited Valuers (Taqeem) is completing its training courses necessary to obtain provisional membership for valuers in the real estate valuation branch, as the first course for the 2016 101 curriculum starts on January 24 in Riyadh, and lasts for five days, followed by the same course in Qassim city on January 31 for five days also, and the expropriation and economic facilities valuation courses are held respectively.
The Authority implemented from the beginning of the year Ministerial Decision No. 531 issued on 3/6/1435 H, which requires real estate appraisers who are entitled to practice the profession to obtain its temporary membership, as of 1/1/2016 no one under any circumstances can practice the profession without having this membership.
About the application of this decision, Essam Al Mubarak, Secretary General of the Authority, explains: "There is no doubt that the implementation of the decision to obtain temporary membership for real estate appraisers is of great importance for several reasons; on the one hand, it falls within the objectives of the Authority to promote the appraisal profession and develop the real estate sector and other key economic sectors in the country, and on the other hand, it preserves the rights of citizens and financing entities at the same time.' '.
