<The organizing committee of Absher 2025 held a comprehensive introductory meeting at the Ministry of Interior Dome, which was attended by representatives of partner government agencies and international and local companies participating in the conference.
At the beginning of the meeting, the organizing committee explained that the Absher 2025 conference, which is under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, is comprehensive and focuses on promoting the technological development in the Kingdom, reviewing the latest innovations in this field, and making one of its main objectives to spread technical knowledge and expand the positive impact to include all regions of the Kingdom, and includes a qualitative knowledge and scientific initiative represented by the Absher Twiq initiative, the largest hackathon of its kind, in addition to the conference sessions and accompanying exhibition that will start on December 18, in which a number of companies will participate (NVIDIA, Meta, GoogleCloud and Huawei.
The Deputy Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs, Engineer Thamer bin Mohammed Al-Harbi, The Absher 2025 conference, as the first of its kind in its comprehensiveness, comes as a national event organized by the Ministry of Interior and in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy, representing a joint action consistent with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and our aspiration for a technological future in which our country is a leader in all scientific and technical innovations. The conference, which is sponsored by Elm Company, will include more than 60 dialogue sessions and keynote speeches, in addition to 80 accompanying workshops, the conference will include more than 10 interactive areas, and the number of registrations in the conference to date has reached nearly 20,000 people.
For his part, Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Hammadi, CEO of Tuwaiq Academy and member of the organizing committee of the Absher Conference, said: The Absher Tuwaiq initiative was launched in 16 cities to empower 100,000+ beneficiaries in all regions of the Kingdom, through 7 technical tracks, more than 1,200 educational hours, and the largest hackathon in digital government solutions, with the participation of more than 3,000 male and female participants, competing in quality tracks that include: Artificial Intelligence, Digital Identity, Internet of Things, and Absher Services Innovation, with prizes of up to one million Saudi Riyals and more than 250 professional programs.
The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) spokesperson, Majid Al-Shehri, delivered the speech in which he spoke about SDAIA's role in supporting digital transformation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, within the extended strategic partnership with the Ministry of Interior, in enabling emerging technologies through national digital solutions highlighted at the Absher Conference, and empowering capabilities in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science through the Absher Tawiq initiative, in professional programs provided by major international organizations.
Abdul Wahab Al Bedah, Director General of Media at the Digital Government Authority, spoke about consolidating the concept of digitization, enhancing integration in adopting national digital solutions, and providing citizen-centric services, and the Absher Conference confirms the Kingdom's global leadership in the field of digitization. The Director General of Entrepreneurship at the National Program for Information Technology Development (NTDP), Khalid Al Mutawa, discussed the program's support for the Absher Conference through enabling the digital economy, adopting emerging digital solutions and innovations, in addition to the Absher Tuwaiq Hackathon, which contributes to building effective digital solutions through many paths.
