In his speech at the opening ceremony, the Minister of Transport and Logistics emphasized the importance of reshaping supply chains through new strategic partnerships to face the radical transformations witnessed by the sector, which represents the backbone of the modern economy.

<He pointed out that this year's conference is held in light of a reality formed on the land of the Kingdom thanks to the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the support and empowerment of His Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect them, the future of the transportation and logistics sector in the Kingdom has become a realized path on the ground and a reality spoken of by national and international indicators, at the forefront of which are investment commitments from the local and international private sector exceeding 280 billion riyals, increasing the direct contribution of transportation and storage activities to national output 6.2%, the growth rate of the air cargo sector increased by 34% compared to the previous year to reach 1.2 million tons, and the rate of job creation in transport and storage activities increased by 28% until the end of the first quarter of this year, where 144 thousand new jobs were added, bringing the total number of employees in the sector to about 651 thousand employees.

He pointed to the transition to a new stage of achieving the goals after achieving a great leap in the World Bank's Global Logistics Index issued by the World Bank in 23, in which the Kingdom advanced 17 positions as the new goals include entering the list of the top 10 countries in the index.

The Minister of Transport and Logistics discussed the support of the wise leadership and the structural reforms that paved the way towards achieving the goals. The Minister of Transport and Logistics highlighted the Kingdom's advancement to the top four ranks among the world's emerging markets in the 50-country Agility Logistics Index for Emerging Markets 2025, thanks to huge investments in the logistics sector and extensive digital transformation in trade.
